Who we are

Big School House connects families with verified, licensed teachers for in-person tutoring in Miami-Dade and Broward County, Florida. You can reach us about anything in this policy at stromega09@gmail.com.

When the Big School House app launches at my.bigschoolhouse.com, it will have its own privacy policy covering accounts, scheduling and payments.

What we collect

Information you choose to send us

This website has no sign-up forms and no accounts. If you apply or ask a question, you do it by email, and we receive whatever you include. Families usually share a name, contact details, and details about their child such as grade level, subjects and scheduling needs. Teachers usually share their name, contact details, credentials and teaching experience.

Please do not email us sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account details or medical records. We will ask for anything like that later, through a secure process, only if it is truly needed.

Information collected when you visit this website

• Hosting and security. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregated information, such as how many people visit and which pages load slowly. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.
• Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.

This website does not use advertising trackers, and it does not set cookies of its own.

How we use it

• To reply to your questions and process waitlist and teacher applications.
• To match families with teachers and prepare for our launch.
• To keep this website running, secure and working well.

How we share it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us operate, including Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding) and Google (email and fonts), under their own privacy and security commitments.
• When matching families and teachers, and only the details needed to make a good match. We will tell you before we share your information with a teacher or family.
• When required by law, or to protect the safety of the children, families and teachers we work with.

Children’s privacy

This website is meant for parents, guardians and teachers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child comes from their parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep application and inquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond, manage the waitlist and evaluate applications. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing stromega09@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, and ordinary email in particular is not encrypted end to end.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
